“Let me tell you how rich we are…”
Being thankful isn’t just something we are when everything seems to be going our way–when we finally get that promotion at work, our marriage is going great or we see our kids experience a breakthrough.
Thankfulness transcends the status of our bank accounts or how difficult our circumstances may seem. It goes deeper than that.
Gratitude is an attitude of the heart.
No one better represents this state of mind than Betty Sue Cox or “Memaw”. Though life wasn’t always easy, she carried with her something money can’t buy–a rich history with Jesus.
We’ve shared this story with you before, but we never outgrow being grateful. If this is your first time, I can’t wait for you to see it. If you’ve seen it before, I think it’s such a helpful reminder of a shift in our perspective that changes everything. Take a look at how Memaw’s consistent gratitude to God, even in the midst of trials, provided a peace and joy in her life that continues to impact others still today.
