From Death To Life

Of all the transitions we experience, the greatest is the one from death to life.

One of our favorite moments from last weekend was seeing 7th grader Kamille Ziolkowski get baptized with her parents Thomas and Tracey.

Tracey shared with us that this has been an especially difficult season for their family. At one point this year, they found themselves with no source of income and no health insurance.

“We were pretty much lost and the stress was overwhelming.”

It was during that time that Thomas’ boss invited them to visit Milestone during our Dream House series. In May, Kamille started attending Elevate and got involved in a small group. She told her parents she wanted to be baptized and Thomas said he’d like to as well. Last weekend all three were baptized in one of our services.

“The sermon on transition was like God was talking to us. It was meant to be that we all were baptized that day. It was a very emotional day for us—it’s like a weight has been lifted off our shoulders. We are just wanting to put it in God’s hands and follow his word. My anxiety and worry of our survival is not hopeless anymore. It’s changed our whole family.”

Thomas, Tracey, and Kamille, we are so proud of you for taking this step in your walk with Christ. We’re excited for what’s ahead and are so glad you are a part of our church family!
