Life On The Edge

Last weekend we took a moment to honor our graduating seniors, a group of people who are right on the edge of a new season in their lives. As these students step into what God has for them next, we celebrate with them.

We think of students like Roger Johnson, who has faithfully served on our worship team and has cultivated and grown a love for music and worship here at Milestone. As he steps into what God has for him studying music education, we can’t wait to see how God uses his gifts in this new season.

We think about Haley Morris–after her family relocated to the Keller area two years ago, Haley showed up at Elevate feeling alone. Since that time she has built lasting friendships and spiritual family here at Milestone and, one day, wants to be a counselor.

And students like JQ Reed come to mind…a college-bound athlete with dreams of becoming a physical therapist. JQ has been involved here just eight months. But in that time, he’s been inspired to share his faith with friends at school and invite them to church!

Graduates, as your church family, we are so proud of you and are excited for what’s ahead for each of you. Here’s our challenge as you walk into this new season:

Own your faith.
Own your relationships.
Own your decisions.

As you close one chapter and open a new one, we are so excited to see how He’s going to use you. We believe in you and believe God has great things in store for you!

These truths aren’t just for seniors. We could all benefit from a little more “ownership”. Thankful to God for Elevate and our leadership team who consistently pours into our next generation.

You along with the other Milestone graduates give me faith that the next generation of our Milestone family will make us proud and set Godly examples for those that follow in your footsteps. God be with you and your families as you prepare for this journey.
