For those of us who are followers of Christ, Easter is a time to pause and reflect on God’s goodness to us. If you have small children, this time of year may also look like planning and coordinating outfits, putting together gift baskets, and participating in Easter egg hunts.
However, those days leading up to the first Easter were not filled with vibrant colors, chocolate, family photos, or joyful singing. In fact, many were in mourning. The disciples, Mary, and numerous others were experiencing deep sadness over the death of Jesus. While He had proclaimed He would rise from the dead three days later, His disciples—the ones closest to Him—had not fully understood what He meant and were grieving the loss of a friend and teacher.
But we know that He did arise from the grave! And because of this miraculous event, we all have an opportunity to receive His salvation and spend eternity with Him. This is the promise and good news behind Easter, and it’s the reason why we celebrate.
Which is why we want to invite you to join us for Easter at Milestone Church to have a special moment with your family to reflect on the meaning of Easter! Our whole team has been preparing for months to provide you and your family with a memorable experience as we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus, our Savior, together.
Each service at all our campuses will include the same incredible worship, a message from Pastor Jeff, photo ops, and a special Milestone Kids service so that your child can learn about the significance of Easter in a fun, age-appropriate way.
And we encourage you to begin thinking about who you could invite to a service! Maybe it’s a family member, neighbor, or coworker that God has been placing on your heart. What if this was the year they gave their life to Jesus? We are believing alongside you as you pray, invite, and bring those people He highlights. We cannot wait to celebrate with you this Easter!
