MAKING AN IMPACT IN DFW

We are celebrating the incredible people of the Milestone family, who willingly gave up time on a Saturday morning to be the hands and feet of Jesus on Serve Day. Over 6,000 volunteers in red shirts completed over 400 projects, impacting thousands of lives. And every year keeps getting better and better. Here are some exciting projects that took place this year at Serve Day.

GROCERY GIVEAWAYS

Grocery Giveaways are when our church sets up in local Title 1 schools to provide groceries for those in need. This year, along with the Keller campus, the Haslet and McKinney campuses participated for the first time. Together, they completed four giveaways, where 7,500 people were given free groceries.

Every person who came had the opportunity to receive prayer from one of the amazing volunteers at this project. And it wasn’t just adults praying for people; elementary-aged students were in the parking lot praying over individuals as well.

BLESSING SCHOOL FACULTIES

At two of these schools, multiple Small Groups decided to adopt teachers, administrators, and janitorial staff to provide everything they listed on their Amazon wishlists. This included supplies, snacks, and other necessities for the school year. They were incredibly touched by the kindness and generosity of people they had never met.

CLEANING UP THE FUTURE HASLET CAMPUS

They have been setting up and tearing down every weekend at a local high school, but the Haslet campus will be moving into its own building soon! The building is currently being renovated, but the faithful people of this campus wanted to go the extra mile and pick up trash to clean up the area surrounding the new building.

We are excited for the next chapter of the Haslet campus, and we believe many more lives will be impacted in that area

BEAUTIFYING ARGYLE

For the first time ever, a team of volunteers went to Argyle to beautify the schools in this district, along with the Eagle Stadium, by doing landscaping projects and picking up trash. Teachers, administrators, and the superintendent of this district were impacted by the hearts of those who came to serve.

We can’t wait to serve the people of Argyle more in the future.
