Everyone can get in the game–you don’t have to sit in the stands and watch. At Milestone, we believe every person’s contribution is significant and we’re better when we’re all doing our part. Jesus places each one of us as living stones…and all the stones build the house.
We are an everyone church.
We got to see an awesome example of this last weekend as Kelley Daniel so graciously shared her story of stepping out in faith to share the love of Christ with her coworker.
What a powerful reminder that we pass by, encounter and interact with people everyday who have never heard the good news of the Gospel and that God loves them. It’s our job to share it with them! If you’ve been redeemed by Christ, He doesn’t want you sitting on the sideline. He wants you in the game.
Here are a few key things Kelley communicated in the video that I think are so important:
- Ministry and mission isn’t just for pastors–it’s for every Christian on the planet.
- People want to talk about it, but often just don’t know how to bring it up.
- We may be nervous that we don’t have the words to say, but check out Luke 12:12 for some encouragement. We don’t have to know all the answers or be able to speak eloquently. The Holy Spirit has that covered.
- We aren’t in charge of someone’s reaction to the Gospel message, but it’s our responsibility to tell them. And you might just be surprised by how they respond!
