A Difficult Diagnosis–A Dependable God

Three simple words can change your life forever. You have cancer.  Those three words bring with them a suitcase filled with fear, anxiety, and pain. But for Jillian Craig, the day after her diagnosis, two encounters at Starbucks gave her a new perspective.  “My husband, Nick, and I felt as though it was time for us to really lean into our church and deepen our walk with God when April of 2018 rolled around. It was the perfect time for…

How Standing in the Commons Changed This First Responder

Two years ago, Stephen Grossman worked at Milestone over the weekends as an off-duty police officer. Serving in the Commons changed his life.  “I was working here at Milestone, standing in the Commons for a number of weeks, watching the services on the big screen. What really kept me coming back week to week was the focus on how the next generation is being taken care of.  Being in the line of work that I am in, I’ve seen lots…

Is Someone Ever Unreachable?

When we find something we love, like the best restaurant in town or the best vacationing spot, we can’t help but share it with others. In many ways, inviting people to church works just the same way; once you step into the environment, you want your family, friends, and neighbors to come along with you.  But sometimes inviting them to come to church with us requires persistence and patience. Today,…

Morgan and Bailey Ryan Are in the Game

We believe in empowering the next generation. It’s not hype or a mission statement—it’s at the core of who we are at Milestone Church. The process may look different for each student, but we believe they all have the opportunity to reach all that God has for them. Milestone has always been a place where you don’t see young people sitting on the sidelines—you see them in the game! They lead worship, speak on platforms, serve in teams, and lead…

Jay’s Family Vision

Water baptisms are one of our favorite celebrations here at Milestone. Nearly 70 people from all different generations and different backgrounds took this step of faith last weekend. We saw a 67-year-old woman baptized right alongside two six-year-olds, a family of four brothers and sisters who come from a Muslim heritage, and families just like Jay Odem’s who all said “yes” to Jesus. If you were with us this weekend, you saw Jay’s video. There are elements of the story…

What’s Your Next Step?

Throughout the VISION series, we’ve been looking at this graphic to remind us that we all have a part to play in saying “yes” to Jesus and taking next steps. But sometimes we struggle with knowing what that practically looks like. This week we heard a great story of a group of guys who lived out this vision by simply taking a next step. Back in April, a men’s Small Group leader had been reminding his group that each member…
