At Milestone, we believe that “You don’t have to wait to be great. You can be a great kid.” No one is too young to be used by God, and we’ve seen time and time again that the next generation can do amazing things for God. Just last week, I was blown away by a story of a young boy in Milestone Kids who gave his heart to Jesus.
Forrest is only in 3rd grade, but he didn’t waste any time being used by God. During baptism weekend last December, he got to talk with some of his leaders about what baptism was and if he’d like to take that next step. He was so excited about it, he wanted to do it the very next morning!
After talking with his leaders in Milestone Kids, Forrest used the next month to invite everyone he knew to come and watch him be baptized. My favorite part of the story is what he said next, “I want my friends to know God, and be here to see me get baptized.”
When it came time for Forrest to be baptized, he didn’t find himself alone. Many people came to support him and those who couldn’t make it joined in online to celebrate him.
As a pastor, nothing gets me more excited than young people being used by God to change the world. I’m so proud of Forrest and his passion for others to know God.
