Here at Milestone, we are passionate about raising up the next generation and helping them reach God’s potential for their life. A way we have set out to accomplish this is through Milestone College in order to provide exceptional education along with real-life leadership and ministry application.
Since being established in 2020, multiple students have been impacted, but we want to share one student’s story and how Milestone College is influencing her life.
McKenzie Earles has grown up and served in church her whole life, but she had never stepped foot into Milestone Church before the fall of 2023. She had never seen the building and only knew a few people who attended. As she began to seek God about her next steps after high school, asking Him to help make it clear what she should do, she received an unexpected notification.
“I have no idea how the email got to my inbox. I must have signed up at some point, but I received an email about Preview Day, and it was happening the next day!”
Later that day, the only other person McKenzie knew who attended Milestone besides her neighbors, reached out and sent her a video of someone praying and told her, “I saw this and it reminded me of you. I just wanted to say that I’m praying for you in whatever decision you make throughout your senior year.” McKenzie knew right then she needed to come and check out Preview Day—our semi-annual opportunity to engage with Milestone College and learn more about the environment.
“I came by myself and was so nervous, but I ended up loving it. I walked out grinning ear to ear because I didn’t know something like this was possible.”
The Lord continued to confirm this was McKenzie’s next step and she began Milestone College this fall. She has been growing in her one-on-one relationship with the Lord, is making new friends, learning how to lead in different areas, and in how to practically apply her Bible reading to her life.
“Looking back over the last several weeks, my favorite part has just been Milestone—the culture, the people, the environment—I love it all. I love coming to the campus during the week and on Sunday mornings to serve.”
We love McKenzie’s story and her commitment to obey and trust God with the plan He has for her life. We know she is going to do great things!
