Not A Spectator Sport

Rain or shine, in frigid cold or summer heat, over 1,000 dedicated Serve Team volunteers faithfully give their time each weekend to make Milestone Church a warm and inviting place for people to experience Jesus. As an everyone church we all have a part to play—so you’ll see volunteers of every age, background, and walk-of-life. Men, women, and kids all joining together to show the heart of Christ to every person that parks in a parking space, or walks through the doors.

One person can’t do everything, but everyone can do something.

It’s not just people attending Milestone that are impacted by the Serve Team—lives are being changed all the time within the Serve Team! When volunteers experience the joy and fulfillment of serving others and the family they become a part of, they ultimately draw closer to Jesus and what He’s called the church to be. From the parking team celebrating as two of their own are baptized, to ushers joining together in prayer before serving the women at Summer Splash, there is something amazing about church that you just can’t fully experience as a spectator—you have to be on the team.

You don’t experience Jesus as a spectator, you have to be on the team.

 

We may be a little biased, but we believe we have the best volunteers out there. So Sunday night (Oct 14) the Milestone Church staff is switching it up so everyone who serves can be served, as we celebrate all that they have contributed to the mission of reaching people and building lives.
